There are so many great meerschaum carvers out there, don't limit yourself to just two companies. Look around... explore. You may find something more appealing by expanding your search. Nothing against either company listed, but there are so many great pipes out there. It doesn't hurt to look around a bit.
Meerschaum Market sells IMP, and a large variety from multiple well know carvers. I've had great success with Meerschaum Market, with my bent apple and my I. Baglan old man pipe. Both are excellent pipes.

And takes commissions for IMP and multiple carvers also founded by Mustafa Servi an established carver in his own right. Despite glowing reviews, I hadn't even heard of Altinay until three years ago so I'm leary of purchasing.
Indeed. I have looked and would love more recommendations. I love the designs at MM but I need a filter and their selection is limited in that regard. Not to say Altinok and Altinay are not limited with 9mm meers, most vendors are. I would rather not do a commission so if there are others people can recommend please let me know.

We are aware that we are very late in starting online retail sales and opening to the USA market.
Between 1964 and 2015, we only worked wholesale for Europe and China.
In this process, besides our own brand ALTINAY, we produced meerschaum pipes of world brands such as Dunhill, Peterson, Savinelli, Butz Choquin, Brebbia.
We still make Rattrays, Andreas Bauer and Barling brand meerschaum pipes.
Actually, it just came to my mind, we produced meerschaum pipes for Sms and Ural in Usa for a while too.
Knew what? I'm out of the loop.Dunhill......if only he knew.
@Chasing Embers is President of his local Dunhill Piping and Gardening Fan Club.
