Looks like your a wet smoker, it should age from the bottom of the bowl, keep the pipe up and wait, it takes years to get it right, I know from many years, I'm a wet smoker and ruined a few Meerschaums until I knew better, keep it tipped up a bit and you will get better results.

I'm not a wet smoker. I have multiple.Meers, this is the only one that remotely colored in this manner.

I know I've said it before Hoosier but that is a beautiful pipe. I look forward to seeing it again after you have some more definition in the scales/petals, it looks like a Chrysanthemum to me.

The golden hue of the bowl on yours is amazing didi, and the stem definition is amazing.

rusty pyles helped me get some parts to repair a figure meerschaum of my own and I hope to display it soon.
