Most of the Ropp pipes with the bark on 'em were cherry, they seem to hold up pretty well.
and they impart a mild cherry flavor that is not over powering but can elevate some blends just a tad. I had one a long time ago and wouldn't mind getting another at some point. The stem broke and everything else held up for years.

hmm yeah but id like "natural stuff " so yeah but is somethign like osage orange okay for the body ? becouse i goot some laying around that would fit perfectly
You definitely do not want to stick Osage orange in your mouth. It tastes awful. It’s a very oily wood, they are generally to be avoided if your gonna out it your mouth or breath through it. Cherry is probably your best bet for a mouthpiece.

okaay but can you also make the sstem from wood ? and are there woods that add an idk light flavor to it ?
There are all-wood pipes with bowl and stem made out of one piece.
The wood stem/bit will get wet, skanky and soft from saliva easily.
Unless you keep it well waxed.

Other woods that can be used include olive, strawberry, cherry, pear, manzanita (during WW ll in America due to a shortage of briar), morta (semi-fossilised oak).
Beech was used by Stanwell for a brief period, again because of a shortage of briar.

I have seen an old (?1920s) all wood French made pipe made from bois violette. I haven’t managed to find what wood that is other than it translates into “violet wood” which tells me nothing 😁

Briar rules for obvious reasons

You can buy pipe kits that come pre-drilled with stems for an easy project

I’m sitting here halfway down a massive three quarters of a century old Marxman loaded with PS LNF and I don’t think there’s been any good substitute for Pre 54 Algerian briar found yet.:)
