Can't ever seem to catch St James Flake while it is available. Any suggestions for the closest thing to it that is more readily available?

There isn't really anything like it. It is a virginia/perique blend but the Gawith folks have a very unique way with it. Wessex curly block is very nice

Thanks. I've been mixing some perique into Stokkebye LBF and LNF and aging it to moderate success. The next thing I was going to try is pressing my own from whole leaf sources, but I'd rather just be able to get the St James Flake itself.
Tobacco Trader in Los Angeles has plenty of it on the shelf. Google the phone number and call to order. They are great folks and don't do internet sales but are more than happy to mail order over the phone. They have tins, 250g boxes of flake and a few boxes of SJ plug right now as well.
