I had the opportunity this week to try the captioned blends at the local B&M. I suppose these are 2 relatively new entries for the Dunhill matches from Altadis.

I do have the "real" EM, courtesy of lordnoble, for comparison and I must say that it stands up favorably.

I had the Early Morning Pipe this morning and while is has been a very long time since I had the original I found it to be a pleasant smoke nevertheless.

Has anyone else had these? If I had not just got 4 more tins of C&D blends I would have sprung for another 2 oa of each. Perhaps next month.

I have Dunhill's Early Morning Pipe, it is very cool smoke. I'm nit big fan of english blends with high content of latakia, Dunhill's really satisfies me, I found it better than My Mixture 965.
From Altadis, I've also Jamestowne Traditional English Mixture, high content of Latakia and orientals, it smokes well, no tongue bites, but I couldn't love it like Early Morning.

I tried the Altadis version.I liked it.It's been a long time since I've smoked the Dunhill but my memory says that the two are pretty close.

I'll have to get some Golden Age to compare to the stuff I have. I'm convinced that I'll eventually buy my B&M's remaining stock and be left with a void... It'd be nice to have something to fall back on until Dunhill make Em available again (if ever).
