All I Know is, It's French

I bought an unsmoked estate pipe from Blue Room Briars a few weeks back. I've wanted a cavalier and this one is pretty unique. It is a g Company made in France and according to BRB, it was manufactured during WWII. I haven't been able to pull up anything on g Company. I figure it's a second of some sort. If anyone has any information on the maker, I would love to here what you know.

I'd assume it's awesome. From my understanding which could be totally off, there at one time where innumerable pipe work shops in the French Islands (I am assuming France is an Island like the U.K., just want to make sure I get at least one thing wrong).

An obvious guess would be that it is a Genod, with the G Company being a military sounding play on their name? Genod makes good pipes, and that looks well crafted, and I believe they are in St. Claude.

It would be awesome if it came from Genod. I've had my eye on some of their pipes.

It's awesome indeed. The piece on the bottom unscrews to drain moisture which I personally haven't seen in cavaliers. All the ones I've seen unscrew at the end. It's ashame no one enjoyed this pipe over all of those years, but that ends with me.
