This was my first commissioned pipe and it vies for my favorite along with the Devil Anse from Tim Beaumont. I requested a pipe from Chris Morgan that was all briar much like his One pipes but with a longer stem. This was to be my everyday working at the farm pipe and I have to say he hit the nail on the head. The first bowl in it was magical. It was a cold, wet winter day and the tobacco was perfect, how I filled the bowl was perfect, the light was perfect and the pipe was perfect. One match and it stayed lit, didn’t overheat, and was about a 45 minute smoke out of that small bowl.

Now I know some sharp eyed folks will see a couple of tiny pits in the pipe. They opened up at the last minute and Chris talked to me about it. They didn’t affect the smoke-ability of the pipe and for me, I wanted a working man’s pipe. It doesn’t bother me a bit.

Hope y’all enjoy the pics.
