I was sitting in my service truck in the firelane at a local shopping mall in Roseland FL one morning and a jeep pulled in across the way from me. A man got out of the driver's side, and I watched as a young woman exited the passenger side. She had on a pair of daisy dukes and nice legs with one in a cast. (something in my brain told me that this would be an easy catch) and I noticed the man staring me down.
It was Arlo and I now think I was ogling his daughter. I quickly averted my eyes and felt shame.

Mother rapers and father rapers, sittin right there on the bench.

Arlo became associated with a cult leader/religious oriented group leader named Ma Cho.
My kids actually went to the school they operated for awhile.
There were lots of folks who had given up their worldly goods to the group, which was essentially owned and operated by Cho. I don't know if they're still around, but they had some nice real estate alongside the Sebastian river.
This woman had traveled the world and presented as a prophet. She'd even met a Pope. Her artwork was mind numbingly crude. I didn't much like it and it was all over that place. ( I visited events held there and also did some glass work for the group. I charged them.

We'll have our first Thanksgiving in the US without Alice, since the song was written.
The song is well known, but I didn't know the details about Alice.
I've never seen the movie, is it any good?

Considering the week... Timely. Poor woman was poorly portrayed in the movie version. I do like stopping up there. Different restaurant now but there is one there...

I had mixed feelings about the movie. I live in the Berkshires where Arlo is kind of like a living patron saint.
Neither Arlo, Alice, her husband, or the guy who helped Arlo dispose of the garbage liked the movie.
