A while back there was some discussion of model. I would be interested to know if anyone has direct experience. There seems to be some consensus that Greek pipes are usually pretty good.

I have an Alexander Zappos pipe, bought one from him on ebay (month or two before he passed away). It's an "Aristocrat Old Briar" pot. The pipe is nice and the briar is good and very thick, although the mouthpiece is apparently made of a cheap plastic, as the tenon crumbled inside the mortise (not snapped off, literally crumbled on one side with no apparent reason). I like the pipe but I have no idea how to repair it.

I also received some negative feedback on quality in another forum. Sad as the filtering approach was intriguing.
