Yes. There’s no seal whatsoever. It will dry out quickly and lose the flavors.

Yep, those tins are just unsealed presentation cases designed for immediate consumption.

While they provide no protection, I find that many of those aromatics imo taste better a little drier and more subdued than when I first open them, so I kinda enjoy the journey of tasting them as the progress.

Both of those are fairly dry to begin with.

I have about half a tin of Sillem's Black from 2011, and a full tin, unopened, from 2020. The open tin seems fine to me; a little mellower, maybe. Not a bad thing.

I just finished a tin from 2011 that was stored in a mason jar. It was much mellower than fresh SB.
