I like to think that I bring more to the the pipe community, than what I take, but I think there more that I can do.
Every new research for me starts in Pipedia and usually ends here in our forum for final and definitive check.
I will leave my speculation station thoughts to my self, but I think I could bring a lot to the table, when it comes to indexing different lines and models and I have 5000+ high quality photos of all kinds of pipes including sharp big resolution nomenclature shots.
I have never contributed to any type of pedia before but I am sure the basics are quite self-explanatory.
What I am struggling with is the optimal amount and choice of photos that i should be uploading.
Here is an example set of photos and all the angles I have for the pipes.

I would love to hear your opinion on which photos should i upload. Should I change something or add another angle?

My personal opinion, but maybe if the background was less distracting? The dark wall is fine, but the colorful surface may be too much, I think.
I do get that and I could change this for future Pipedia exclusive photos, but I won't be able to change it for the photos I already have.

I generally find good photographs of the button and slot underrepresented. Personally, I find details of the bite zone at least as important as say the bowl if not more so. Gives you a good idea of what was going on at the time of an important part of a pipe.

That may also just be me.

Pipedia has had to do purges on low traffic pages before, removing pipe photos to conserve server space. If you want to contribute, adding new shapes to the various brands shape charts would be helpful, or adding other historical pipe info of value that helps people date and identify vintage pipes.

The fewer photos the better, and the pipe should represent the brand well, or be very rare or unique in some way. The best background would be white, to again save on file size.

My personal preference would be a photo of every shape a manufacturer produced, in every line. ;)
