Good morning,
I found this in the draw of my pipe cabinet and was wondering if I should just clean it up or treat the briar. This was made over a decade probably almost two by my brother-in-law from a predrilled block from Dan Pipe.
All was done by hand and he did not have many power tools at the time. The underside is uneven but I think it has character. Any suggestions or tips?17154929387515991893283119243563.jpg1715492964804254527662795872579.jpg17154929883403445687773787789879.jpg

Unless you have a masochistic desire to work on this thing I would do as little as possible to the stummel. Get it to smoke is enough.

I think with my skills I could really do enough to screw it up. I guess I'll wash the bowl out remove the oxidation on the stem and polish it a bit. Then a little honey coating and fire it up. I can be my second morning pipe for Haunted Bookshop. My Jirsa Nosewarmer could use a good help with the morning chores.
