Rarely, but when I do, it's to either add some body to a light blend, or it is used as a kind of kindling to help with getting a good charring light for particularly stubborn tobacco.

Dark burley can overwhelm many blends, so it’s often used sparingly. White burley is more neutral but adds a rough note. Cube cut burley may be a blend of both, and may be toasted or flavored or otherwise altered—so it really depends on which cube cut you get.

I bought 8 oz's of C&D dark burley for mixing purposes once. Not a single bit of it made it into a mixture. I just smoked it all. I now keep it on hand for smoking straight.
