I have dabbled with tea for 6 months since this post dropped. It has been a wonderful journey. With a good foundation I finally pulled the trigger and got a propper tea maker and accessories and a big boy assortment of the good stuff. It just got real. And my gal is in love with tea now so we have something to do together. Thank you all for the great tips. This is a new world.

BTW ... the skinny tea is for my lady. Hold back on the wise cracks.

What a cool thread! Tea and tobacco, my two leafy loves. npod, looks like you ended up with a great assortment.

This is a cool thread, I'm glad it got dug up or I never would have seen it. I'm an Englishman (with a Scottish mother), so tea has always just been a part of life. Even since I moved to the states as a kid, I've always kept my love for English Breakfast, Scottish Breakfast and Lapsang Souchong. As for pairing with tobacco, I've never found a combination I didn't like. I drink all teas and all coffees with all my tobaccos and it's all quite sublime.

I'm not very refined in my tea drinking. I've tried some of the fancy loose leaf teas and enjoy them, but never really feel like spending the money on them.
That said, I love a cup of Twinnings Earl Grey with straight VAs, VAPer, and Oriental blends. I find it compliments them all really well.
