Great job! Even though it slightly hurts my Peterson bone (that is connected to the nicotine bone, they help make up your souls skeleton) the only thing better than rustication is partial rustication and you did really well!

bubba - of course i would.

i was actually about to make that an open offer, as i would really enjoy doing more and i need to keep myself from spending money getting more to do this stuff to, and i only have a couple estates left that haven't been attacked yet.

my girlfriend's ex-husband is a decent guy and used to make knives. this week he gave me a table top band-saw, bench top belt sander, a couple of drills, and a scroll saw so i need to keep myself busy while i save money to egt some bits and briar from pimo and some acrylic blanks. hopefully in a couple of months i will be making pipes from scratch...

but aside from my ramble if anyone wants me to partially rusticate an old pipe they have i am completely down. just send me a pm.

assaad - i was actually expecting to hear something about doing this to a peterson, as i know there are a lot of peterson die-hards on here. i am glad no one went that way. i really like the pipe and the feel of it. it is my second pete and both smoke great. i love the big open draw of a pete. i just really like making my pipes my own, and now i own a one-of-a-kind peterson.
and thanks to all for the compliments. i am glad it is well received.

also very flattered by the nording compare. his partial rust pipes have always been a favorite of mine. i only have one nording currently but hope to one day get more.
ok done babbling.

I love my Petersons but, I don't care for the super slick shiny red finish on the new Killarneys. Your modification rocks!

Gotta agree that i'm not a major fany of the super shiney finishes. In my opinion that is a 100% improvement on that pipe. I'd buy one like that in a shot if Peterson started doing that finish in the factory!

Jason, you should search around for a Nording "carve your own" pipe kit. They're like $25-$30 and they smoke just like a Nording, but you get to shape it how you like. I cleaned out pipesandcigars inventory when I ordered 3 a couple weeks ago, but theres other places that carry them.
