Take one part uber-cool ultra-Danish super classic (the "Walrus" shape)

One part S&PIOBID (seamless & perfect inclusion of bamboo in the design)

One part overall size (1" x 2.7" chamber, 9" overall length... a true giant)

and

SEVERAL parts execution difficulty... (that's where the insanity comes in)

And you get this:

One of the coolest pipes I’ve seen in a long time. I may not be able to appreciate the difficulty involved n creating it but I certainly appreciate the finished product. Fantastic!

For anyone unfamiliar with the Walrus shape, it's been around for 50+ years, and pretty much every master / legend carver has made it at some point. (It's like a rite of passage to prove your technical chops to other carvers, as well as satisfy yourself.)

The fun part is even with all that talent no one ever IMPROVED on it, so they gave up trying.

Love the pipe, think it's both technically consonant and fluid and I get that it's a bit of a challenge to some due to its more anthropomorphic shape. The blast is kinda interesting as well, kind reminds me of Walt Cannoy's suede blasts in these pictures. Normally I don't like blasts of this kind, but it works well with this particular example, each material being presented for what it is while also combining seamlessly to create the whole piece.

Ah, I was trying to recall where I saw that blast style

I can say with some enthusiasm that I wish all pipes were sitters, that should be an integral part of the majority if pipe designs but from what I've seen on the market it's almost always overlooked.
