What a happy-making thing to read, r. Thanks for the thoughtful post. You raise a couple of questions, and here are the answers. Yes, the cavendish is burley based. I chose it to provide some roundness to the overall profile, and to give a little more body and "tobacco taste" to the smoke. As to the moisture remaining somewhat consistent, the sugars in the casing and topping will tend to act as a sort of natural humectant, holding moisture a little more tightly than pure leaf, while blends like Westminster have nothing added, and are more prone to drying.
In any event, I'm happy to know that you're still enjoying it all these months later. I'm inspired to light up a bowl myself!

I really really like this blend, I'd encourage anyone to at least try it. It will mostly likely be liked :)
