@npod - well, still learning here. I thought SPC was Seattle Pipe Club. I’ll get it eventually...

@redone. My original post was in jest. But you saying, "I thought SPC was Seattle Pipe Club.", I never thought of that one. That is a great example! So SPC can denote many things in our hobby.
SPC = Super Pipe Club.
That's the name of my personal pipe club. One member currently (yours truly). Anyone want to join?

I would, but I'm already a member of the Sopranos Pipe Club. We sit around in dark, corners of diners with our sunglasses on and make obscene gestures to one another, then we eat pasta and light our bowls with gun-shaped lighters. Mine is a Dillenger.

And to be nice because of all my buds in Canada, the Atlantic, the Mediterranean, & other places, many many many years ago (& still in syndication in some places) there was a US TV show called "Hee-Haw!" that appealed to *&* poked fun at Southerners & other rural types.
One of the characters was a guy named Junior Samples, who ran a used car lot (among other places). He always held a sign that he'd flip over at the very end with his phone number, which of course was....

I despise acronyms. I work in telecom and EVERYTHING there has an acronym. We use an OPP to hook up an FOTM to service an ONT and get people internet/phone service. One time a sales person asked me to explain it and I was tempted to say well you have to place new fiber and an stfu in the telco area; then you can place a fiber jumper to a wtf and then you can finally place a lmfao to service the customer. One of the people I work with actually said, "I wish they'd spell it out once in the beginning of an email and then refer to it by the acronym after that so I know what the heck they're talking about.". Couldn't agree more.
I think there is a sticky for the pipe related ones up with the forums categories.
