Dang! 80 cigs a day. That's an expensive habit. With all that extra cash you have now you should have plenty to spend on pipes and good tobacco. Congrats on quitting the cigs. Welcome to the forum.

You know what? I'm amazed at how damned easy it was!
I'd always told the wife that I couldn't give up because I "just loved smoking". Didn't give a fig about the health issues and my only motivator was the cost (£20 odd a day).
When I switched to the pipe I found out I was dead right about the "loving smoking" but up until then had been utterly clueless about what it actually meant!

Four packs a day...must have cost a mint!! I thought I was bad with one and a half packs. I'd probably need oxygen if I smoked that much. Way back in the day when I drank and did the bar thing, I'd go through a pack while out cruising for honeys and went through a total of maybe 2-3 packs but never consistently a four pack deal...supreme sacrifice on the wallet-especially today's cost. Now I can't go long without my pipes but I still smoke some cigs as well.
