A True Halloween Horror Story: The End of Latakia
The article quotes Sutliff's Jeremy McKenna as suggesting that latakia was coming from Syria until right before the current civil war. I thought it was common knowledge that Syrian production stopped long before that. That somewhat strange inaccuracy aside, I wonder if the new production mentioned is the same as the effort by the Turkish monopoly reported here: Nurturing a Niche - Tobacco Reporter - https://tobaccoreporter.com/2021/04/01/nurturing-a-niche/
Very humorous. I suppose we will have a run latakia products.
Yeah, cold sweat from fear the end won't happen. The end of Latakia? The very idea leads one to break out in a cold sweat.
Yes sir! Indeed that is the interpretation by many that the Syrian conflict upended their Latakia production. I could have written several paragraphs about the Syrian Government’s regulation that disallowed use of wood for the fires; then gone into the history of the Turkey vs Greece conflict as Pipe Stud did but I wanted this to be a more fun (and shorter) piece that provided an authoritative source confirming Pipe Stud’s suspicions and as such we have broken the first American industry source as confirmation (McKenna as the funder of the operation). I plan an additional article after interviews with the people quoted in the, “Nurturing a Niche” article which I found to be a great read! I also want to explore the camel dung as the original smoking fuel angle: people who think it’s not true might not have ever visited a rural village on that side of the world where, even today, dung is the standard fuel used for cooking. In the future I’ll ask the editor how he feels about posting outside articles; but I love that you posted it here for everyone. Thanks Mingc!

Next month, if approved by the Chief!Honestly, I don't really care about Latakia, but for those who love it, happy days! I'm more interested in what other hinted at component might be going the way of the Dodo.
We don’t really have to though they fixed it!Very humorous. I suppose we will have a run latakia products.
Latakia.....gross!!! HahahaOne man's horror story is another man's comedy.
I can only hope so, Sutliff seems to be a fairly agile company and not nearly enough people know them for their English blends.Very humorous. I suppose we will have a run latakia products.
