A Tribute to Large Pipes

Brad, that is one huge fistful of beautiful Birdseye you have there. I'll bet with those thick walls that she's a good smoker. Love these big pipes and I'm currently working on liberating a few from a buddy who had to give up pipesmoking due to his doctor scaring the crap out of his wife. Sad for him but there's no use letting them collect dust, right?

Here is a picture of the five pipes I bought at the Chicago Pipe Show. The olive one is the biggest I own now. If you compare it to the Savinelli 320 in front, you can calcuate the size. I have yet to smoke it, but I expect it will take a long time.

Who is making giant pipes now days? I have searched for Johs giant pipes and it seems they are all but gone except for Cup O' Joes but he's go them at over 200 a pipe. Anyone have any ideas of places to look?
