What do you mean by curated? Put on a mantel and left there? Makes me sick.
If I ever had the scratch to buy a $950 tin of something as special as that 1940s Three Nuns, I would proceed to the nearest pipe show, find some friends, and go nuts. Stuff like that is meant to be passed around.
I'll never forget my first and only taste of a Sobranie tobacco, which came from a Penzance-style tin and was ancient. Some guy saw me walking through the Chicago show in 2007 when I was 19, said 'hey kid, come try this,' and gave me and a few friends a flake to split. It was amazing. I wish I knew what it was, and who gave it to me. I think that passing around an old tin is a real pleasure, and it makes me miss having pipe friends nearby to share with.
EDIT
In my own time, the couple of special tins I've passed around with friends have included two 1980s tins of Garfinkel's Ridgeway, several of Bohemian Scandal, one of Raven's Wing, and various samples of 7-12 year old Pease blends to folks on this site. I've always been happy to do so.
