Wonderful story to share, and a great looking pipe. I would have to agree with kenbarnes' guess that the pipe is very much in the style of Charatan's make from the 70's. But who cares?! Clearly, you cherish it for a better reason.

This for jpmcwjr (and will probably make little sense to anyone else!): I live in Sutton, which is the southernmost of the London boroughs. Sutton United is the local team and plays in the National League which is the fifth tier of English football. However, for the first time in their history they have reached the 5th round of the FA Cup and will play the mighty Arsenal next Monday. They will get slaughtered I think, but right now and around here Sutton Utd is the only team worth supporting! Cheers Mike
