Instymp: great recipe. Sablebrush: The last batch of Long's pipecleaners I got from P&C were labelled Tom & Jerry. Do you use the name Sablebrush because you were a retoucher before photoshop? I was too.

Hi Foggy,
I'm an artist by trade. You could say that I did do a form of retouching in that I worked in visual effects for a lot of years, mostly as a matte painter. And I'm just starting work on a new Tom and Jerry DTV, so there's a connection there as well.

Thanks for this posting. It is nice to read, learn information, help others and make friends along the way. There is no need to make fun of other members or condemn them if their opinion might be different than another member.
This site is free and despite all postings related to receipt of gifts for member name color, I do not know of any member to receive them. A shirt however would be a nice item if it were available to purchase. It would help to promote the forum and help other members find each other at pipe shows and other pipe related events.
Just a thought that Kevin might consider.
Doug

OK, I've read this sentence 5 times and I still don't understand it.

When your name color is purple forum member Cortez always states some gift is on its way but it never is received thus is a joke. The idea of buying a nice shirt would be a way for all members to support this forum as well as provide some free advertising to support the forum and our hobby.

Nor I, but the following sentence might relate as it pertains to swag. Does Pipes Magazine have an official shirt that can be bought by its membership?
Swag, Kevin? Great spirit builder. If there isn't any such item, perhaps we could have a contest to design a Pipes Magazine shirt. The winner would get their very own Chinese made Bo Nordh. Or, a 10 minute raid on Peck's cellar.

Why a shirt?

Are we that ordinary?
We need to look to the next generation of pipe smokers, and be less concerned about ourselves.

Apparently my lurking skills are not as good as I thought. I must have just overlooked all the controversy and vitriol. What was the problem?

Can I have a Two Tone?
Sure, why not? Any suggestions regarding color combos?
What was the problem?
Things got ugly when some members wanted the shirt or one piece to be scented. Some wanted Latakia, others wanted vanilla. Then the discussion got heated when the topic of ghosting came up and a couple of members went ballistic over whether Dreft was the best choice of detergent.
