I’m really curious to know how many of you out there have smoked Peretti English 110?

I normally smoke Virginia-based tobaccos, but I am sitting here with a bowl of this in an Ashton sandblast apple, and it is divine. I have only smoked about a half a dozen English blends in my life, but for my palate many of them were basically too bitter. Peretti English 110 is much sweeter, though I don’t think it’s due to a topping. It’s a wonderful mixture of Orientals,Latakia, and Virginia I believe. Maybe some more stuff as well, not sure just now. It is the only English blend in my rotation. For those who prefer a lighter English blend, I would highly recommend this one.

Stokkebye and Arango Balkan Supreme is the exact same blend from the exact same blending house. Chances are if you are in the US, you will find it more commonly as Arango Balkan Supreme.

I agree with @chasingembers, It's the bomb. I am preferring to almost any other English right now. I popped an aged Frog this morning and I kept comparing it to Balkan Supreme. Sad....

All that being said, to me it's not necessarily on the mild side but like right in the middle. It's a very light Balkan but a middle strength English, IMHO..

It is tasty, NOT harsh AT ALL, and it wouldn't bite your tongue even if you asked "Pretty Please"

4noggins has the Stokkebye version.

If it was the only English/Balkan I would be content. Very well balanced without being a lat bomb. Even better than Penzance and Margate.

Awesome. I need to try some of the LJP tobaccos. Sure seems like they have a lot of good ones.

Have you tried Pease's Maltese Falcon or Blackpoint? I wouldnt call either light, but the Latakia content is moderate and both seem to have a little something extra (supposedly ginger liquer in MF) that keeps them from getting into the more sour and bitter side of Lat blends.

I would agree that it's well balanced and doesn't taste like a Lat bomb, but I do think it's definitely a full-English/Balkan. Sensational and worth trying for anyone but not one I'd consider light.

Interesting perspective as I've always considered it a very light Balkan.

Lane Ltd "HGL".....It's really "Captain Black"-original with the addition of a little Latakia. Very pleasant to smoke and smell. Add a small amount of cigar-leaf, for a treat.

You would probably like C&D "Pasha's Dream".

Dang, another Peretti blend I will have to try!
I am currently on a Peretti Fest since last November. I just love their blends.
I'm no tobacco expert, but I think Peretti Crown, Loch Lomond and Royal are all good. Especially Loch Lomond. Just my 2 cents.LJ Peretti Excel.png
