Michigan
73 degrees and 60% humidity here on the East side of Michigan tonight. A few blocks from Lake St. Clair.
Last week, it was so humid and rainy that I opened a few tins just to let them naturally hydrate.

That was somewhat unusual. One of those times when you thank god that someone invented Air Conditioning. I noticed that my tobaccos were a bit sweeter and more flavorful as I puffed away on my back porch listening to the rain fall.
Most of the time, I just fold, stuff & light without any dampness issues.

Here in So Cal, home of the crazies, the humidly level doesn't get that bad. But, I follow an old Pipe masters advice and my many canning jars of tobacco stay great with one of the moisture buttons inside. I keep them in a cooler dark place. The sun or light isn't your tobacco's friend...
Thanks!

Dan

Las Vegas
Never an issue here in Vegas. I leave some of the wettest rum soaked blends out on my back patio in the shade, 100+ temperatures, and approximately 11% humidity. Even just 4 hours in these conditions makes a huge difference.
RH depends on temperature and pressure among other things which is why some places have reached over 100% humidity. I believe 107% is the highest I've ever heard of.
