That's a trick I've never seen. Interesting. For some reason, I don't seem to have much problem with moisture, and the occasional gurgle seems to resolve itself, enough to finish off the bowl without a problem. I have always guessed that the simpler the airway -- fewer bends, no filters etc. -- the more likely the moisture will resolve itself, up with the smoke or mostly drying in the airway. If I ever do have a moisture problem, I'll find a place where I can try this slinging method, with no cats or dogs in proximity.
