@FurCoat ?
Both my parents smoked cigarettes. I started with cigarettes and realised very soon after that I didn't like them and got onto pipes.
Now if I had a pipe smoking father or grandfather or uncles, it would have been a different story
Lots of happy times puffing en famile![]()
I have one daughter and she loves playing in the cellar. She is front and center when I open a jar so she can smell the tobacco.I gave her a pipe out of my seven day seconds and she loves that cob. The wife might be right, I am a bad influence on the kids...lolUnfortunately, for me my only son has little interest in smoking. The three girls have tribes of rug rats around them so what are you supposed to do??
That's a good point.I didn't smoke for most of my youth, except as a six-year-old with purloined cigarettes my buddy snitched from his dad. My dad smoked a pipe most of the day. When I finally decided to buy a pipe, on a whim, when I was in my thirties, I discovered what a good student of my dad's pipe smoking I was. It couldn't be muscle memory, but I certainly had all of the moves down cold, imprinted. So your son may know more about pipe rituals than he thinks. Parents have influence, even when it feels like they have zero.
I’m over here grinning from ear to ear for you, sir. Proud day indeed.Well they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and tonight I got a text from my second oldest son. He is now of age and wants me to teach him the art of pipe smoking. My oldest is a pipe smoker and I look forward to passing this hobby on to another son. The twins are 17 so a few years yet before they can get a pipe but they have expressed interest. My wife says I'm a bad influence on my boys..lol.View attachment 115218
Yes they do. You never know, they could surprise you.Lucky! I've got two boys. Neither of them want to play bagpipes, and neither of them want to do anything with tobacco. Not do they drink. I already feel sorry for their future wives. Men need vices!!!
Me too. Thank youI’m over here grinning from ear to ear for you, sir. Proud day indeed.
I think it is a good way for a father and son to bond.You're a good father. I would have done the same. Congratulations brother..................
