I already grabbed a heritage finish, but I'd love to stumble on a sandblast with some great grain. Hoping this isn't going to be a "one and done" release of the 309 like they're doing with the 444.

Yes, which means I can feasibly save up for a sandblast 4S instead of agonizing over a Petersonian Sophie's Choice from a single release. Happy days indeed!They are back in regular production

What I'm really hoping for is another 4AB release someday. A proper smooth one like Rathbone's is one of my top targets, I missed out in 2021.

I see that more pipes have become available, so I ordered another smooth 309 spigot. The one I’ve already received will be returned.

Those are beauties. I was waiting for the announced 6pm drop, so I missed the DeLuxes. Sucks, but I have a nice 1950's 4s Deluxe, so I'm good.

I saw one Deluxe dark pop up - that’s it’s. Supposedly there only 5 made in this initial release. But I’m sure more will turn up in time.

I am now an affirmed 309/4 fan, admittedly in part because of the Basil Rathbone connection, but it was definitely something that grew on me over time. I started off mostly being interested in straight-stem shapes. But I've come to really love the 309 both aesthetically and ergonomically. There's something about the sharp, rectangular top profile turning into strong, sweeping curves around and then upwards that just really hits the spot, especially on the 4AB and the 309 spigots.
I couldn't resist the IPSD sale and selected a sandblast standard, and I must share what a lovely finish it is. Incredibly comfortable to hold. I have a feeling this will end up a very regular smoker for me if she smokes as good as she looks.
That's horrible I suggest you box that up immediately and send it to me.
