Ive kept going back and forth between being prideful and not asking, or suffering without but I've been in a bad situation lately and would kindly like to ask you all here for some help if it is within your ability.

I am from Lahaina Hawaii and recently suffered a very traumatic wild fire. My family lost our home, and all of our possessions. We had just enough time to grab a baby bag, and our documents before the fire took everything. We are all safe, thank god but left to figure out how to put our lives back together now. Money is tight and I feel ashamed to even be asking but does anyone have a couple tins and a pipe they could spare? I find myself very lost without familiar comforts. A pipe at the end of the day was my sanctuary, a place to unwind, think things through, relax. Maybe it's just because of how stressed I've been but I miss that part of my old life. To make matters more complicated Hawaii recently banned online tobacco sales. I had a good collection of briars and a cellar of at least 6 years of tobacco, all of which is now gone and with Hawaii's laws I am unable to purchase more. My financial priorities right now are for our 1 yr old and our baby boy on the way. But if anyone has an old cob or briar kicking around that they don't use, or a spare tin, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks, Erik

No shame in this at all. We all know what happened. I can only imagine how sideways it is for you and your family right now.

OP, I don't think it's unreasonable to suspect you will be swimming in pipes and tobacco very soon - hope they can offer you some temporary deliverance in this traumatic and devastating time.

I know situations like this can feel insurmountable, but it will pass.

Maybe throw out some Pipe Brands, shapes, and finishes you like. We all have more than enough, especially for those who have lost so much. There is no shame in asking for help from your community. I'm glad you and your family are safe. Stay strong.

I'm blown away by the generosity and kindness from everyone here. The amount of support everyone has been showing is truly heartwarming. Thank you all for your help through these challenging times.
Keep your head up MaukaMan. You're going through a very difficult time but things will get better. In the meantime, the members of this forum will make sure you have something to smoke.
