I need to thank you for sharing this Daniel. I'm glad you enjoy the pipe now.
I'm really happy you contacted me and didnt re-sell the pipe. Sometimes defective ebonite comes into our workshops and you can't tell the difference until the stem is finished or smoked.

carver I want to think every pipe that i make as a short-story. I remember every detail of making of almost 400 pipes that I have made so far. I like the fact that most of the times my work on a pipe deflects my mood of that period or the way I experimented with new materials/shapes/process of making.
