I love whiskey, cognac, brandy and wine, etc, to smoke in pipe or cigar. Having said that, never in excess with alcohol. I can't stand to drink excessively...........

I'm the same....I don't overdo it but find my pipe smoking that bit more enjoyable in the evening while relaxing with a glass of beer or wine.

Zetea is not bad, although a bit to high in alcohol degrees for my taste. I live in Timisoara, so as a 5 generation Banat man, I do prefer something closer to 42 degrees. I get my quince from the Republic of Serbia, I have relatives there :)
I find it be a high quality product and the higher ABV doesn't bother me. That being said, I had better quince brandies from Serbia.
I was born in Brasov, now living in NYC, and sometimes drink palinca for nostalgia.

I very rarely drink during the work week, so mid week smokes it’s an N/A pairing. If I do, it’s one beer or one glass of wine. Otherwise, I like beer, whisky, or a cocktail with a bowl. I’ve never paired tobacco with wine; it just seems like that’s something I wouldn’t like.

I can't remember the last time I drank an alcoholic beverage. I do enjoy them, but I don't drink often. I'm not a fan of getting more than just slightly buzzed off alcohol--I stagger around enough without drunkenness. Smoking, I usually smoke between 5-10 grams of tobacco per day depending on if I'm working or not working.

Lately I've been really enjoying smoking my clay pipes, particularly Elizabethan Mixture. Probably because it is late ultra-summer and I tend more toward VAs then.

@AKinser79 I think Elizabethan Mixture sounds like it would go well in a clay pipe, as they were smoked from the 16th through to the early 20th century.
Have you got any photos of your clay pipes?
Good ? to see someone else enjoying the clay pipes; mine seems to be well stained and the tobacco tastes ashy and burnt even when I don't puff too hard but I feel like I've been puffing too furiously on the clay and this makes the bowl incredibly hot.
Maybe it just needs cleaning...
Smoked all my pipe baccy for now...

Peterson (Dunhill) Elizabethan Mixture goes well in cobs, briar and clay of course. I just happen to like to smoke mine in clay the most for some reason. I'm not sure if it is psychological or just the properties of the Virginias used in that particular bend.

I do not have photos of my clays though. I have one that is really small, holds maybe half a gram or so of tobacco. I typically smoke this one in the morning with five brothers. Since I usually inhale five brothers I get quite the buzz. My larger one is classed as a medium and holds around maybe a gram and half of tobacco...maybe two if I really pack it tight. Unfortunately the cat broke its stem shortly after I got it. My mother thought I should throw it away, but I taped that shit up and it smokes okay. Not the prettiest pipe but neither are cobs and those are my go to pipes.

That one I mostly smoke Eastern Star Flake or Elizabethan out of.

Neither are particularly stained as they are newer pipes for me. My old clay pipe was almost dark brown but the bowl got broken. Miss Kitty didn't like it on "her" dresser.

Mixing smoking and alcohol is generally unadvisable because Alcohol makes your mouth absorb a lot more toxins.

I only take a sip of whiskey with the occasional meal, in very small quantities (half a shot daily) Alcohol consumption has some benefits, but not "benefits" most people are looking for.
I keep at least three days rest between smoking tobacco.

If I drink alcohol while smoking (a rarity for me) its much more likely to be with a cigar. I like a beverage with a pipe, - coffee, water, Dr Pepper, Irish Breakfast tea, etc depending on particular mood.

I second the advice of moderation. One pipe a day in a bowl that burns about 45 minutes to an hour at the end of my work day. I don’t like to mix my alcohol with tobacco either, I actually find it can interfere with my taste buds rather than enhancing them when I smoke.

I really enjoy having a few drinks with a pipe. That said….. for me, it has been probably 3-4 years since I have done so…… not out of lack of interest….. more out of lack of drinking buddies. For me, it feels rather boring and uneventful to drink alone so I do not really do that…. and currently none of the friends or associates I am with lately imbibe. And my wife is a teetotaler. But…. the next time there is a wedding in my family….. that will draw in more distant (location) relatives…. and there are several that enjoy drinking….. so I look forward to that eventually occurring again.

I think it all depends how and why you drink. My bourbon collection is now 100 bottles deep. But I rarely have more than an 1.5oz pour, as I drink because I like whiskey, not to get drunk.

I don't remember the last time I drank alcohol. I am on meds that don't mix well with alcohol. If I were to drink it would probably be Grey Goose Vodka. I was always a Vodka guy as my family heritage is from Russia. I don't drink it straight, I like a Vodka Gimlet or a Vodka and diet tonic water.
