congrats Russ, and a great thread to get rolling.
all these photos are reminding me I have fishing to do.
So, a question to the fisherman photographed: Did you throw'em back, or grill'em up? I usually keep'em, but it's always a difficult to decision.

I'm a catch and release kind of guy. I catch them and then release them right into the frying pan. Nothing like fresh caught fish.

I definitely ate my trout... Went out today and didn't catch a single one. Thankfully I have a wife that loves to cook and I don't have to rely on my catch to eat, otherwise I would starve...

I guess each area is different. The lake I fish on in South West Arkansas has plenty for cats. The Arkansas limit is 10. On Lake Earling, you can catch your 10 plus an additional 20 a day. There is quit an over abundance here.

But I will say, if I was a client your yours and you let go a legal fish that I wanted to keep, I'd be pissed.

I can understand your feelings, knowing where you hunt and fish. But I see no reason to bring up poaching, out of season, catching out of the slot or over the limit in this forum.

I don't have any problem with you... just voicing. If I were a tree huger, I don't think I'd have much of an argument with someone in Maine, California or Armindale, Australia on weather to chop that tree down or not. I don't have any idea on all the details. I'd have my feelings of course, but I wouldn't assume they were breaking the law. Lets just have fun.

I'm always 100% legal in everything I keep, and I take a lot of offense at those that steal wildlife. I'll give somebody one chance to throw back short fish, there is a chance they just didnt know better. If I see them put another short fish in the cooler, I am not so nice. I keep most legal fish I catch, as long as I know its going to be used.

But Back On Topic :D

Heres a 40 lb Ling (Cobia) a nice size Kingfish, a couple small Snappers and Spanish Macs from last summer.

Excellent catch Lonestar! I got to go cobia fishing once off the coast of South Carolina. It was hard handling the eals for bait! But I see no dang reason that we have to declare that we have a legal catch in our photo's! I hate that this even came up! Lets just have fun in the forum.....

Here is an advertising pic that was used to promote the FAA Approved Instrument Pilot Flight Simulator that I designed and created. I co-founded the company that builds these. That company has experienced success in many countries around the World. If you have an interest in the product, you can view it here: https://www.flyelite.com/faa-certified/advanced-atd/rc-1/ The initials "RC" are my initials (Robert Coffey) If you want one, they are about $45,000 a copy depending on options selected it can be more. I have one in my den at home.

They are some tough fish, pack a can of whoopass everywhere they go ! I caught this guy trolling for Kingfish 18 miles offshore. Never caught one trolling before, took me awhile to figure out what I had on. He was making runs for 20 minutes and was still full of fight when we put him in the boat. I'm going to start shooting them before I bring them onboard.

Captain Bob, that is a sweet machine you've got there. at 45 K starting price it's never something I could afford but that's pretty bad ass that it is " your " machine. You're all over the markets aren't you? Good deal brother.
My career of 41 years is actually "Independent Insurance Agent" and Owner of the family Agency started by my father in 1939. Avation has been a side-line except for several years in the Profession as a FAA Certified Flight Instructor. But, eventually, I saw more "promise" in my future by entering the family business. No regrets. Now, I can afford to "eat" and "fly"!
