I posted my new Mr. Brog Old Army Olive Limited Edition, a couple of weeks ago, and it is a beauty. I've been smoking it, and had one outdoor outing with it. However, it's a bit delicate in nature, and (for me) very expensive. Not something I'd wan't to take on a daytrip or to a picnic. But the design and execution is beautiful, and I thought that I'd like to pick up something in the same vein, but more robust and in the same spirit.

After a search on Evilbay, I went back to Mr. Brog in Poland, found what I wanted, and here's the new, utilitarian and as it only cost $20 US plus $6.50 shipping from Poland, replaceable Mr. Brog No. 25 "Kaiser", the newest addition to my stable.

I'm in the process of breaking it in, with two smokes so far, with Captain Black Dark. As the pipe is pearwood, I want to be very careful in the break in process, so after four or five smokes with this very nice fodder, I'll step up a notch in the heat department to Borkum Riff Dark Cavendish, then some SWR, before finally biasing it for Englishes, my favoured afternoon outdoor smoke.

The pipe has an excellent draw, a good capacity, and like the four other Brogs I have, about the best bang for the buck I've ever had. They all smoke great. Yeah, he makes upscale pipes as well, and I have the Old Army Olive, but for an outdoor pipe for windy conditions, this is going to be my go-to. Being half Polish myself, I have a twinge of patriotism in operation, and wince a bit at my English side because their best pipes seem to be made in Dublin, eh? :ROFLMAO:

Working on that, too, and will be pushing the button on a Peterson Rhodesian bowl Tavern Pipe when the pensions come in at the months end. You'll be seeing this one soon, too!

Thanks for looking in. 😊

Hi Gord

Do have a look at Blakemar pipes. A few different lines available.
Mike's inventory varies quite a bit so it pays to check his site frequently to catch his new listings.

Not as inexpensive as the Mr Brogs, but I'm more than happy with both of mine.
