A New Arrival - 1912 Loewe Bent Billiard

This arrived a couple of days ago
A 1912 cased Loewe Bent Billiard, orific bit tapered stem.
Geoff Watson, Cambridge Pipe Repairs did his magic on it.

Yep.
I only buy pipes to smoke - no rack queens.
I have only one unsmoked pipe - a 1917 BBB Bent Billiard with amber stem.
Earmarked for initial outing at my b’day later in the year

Thankfully just a refurb. No repairs needed.

Bent Billiards seem More common than straights. I have only one straight billiard, but 3 other bents.

That is truly beautiful. I am a (not so obsessed as to become insane ) Titanic history buff. To own a pipe as lovely as this one from the period would be great.

Titanic: I recall reading how much Capstan they typically stowed before embarking. It was a ton, perhaps literally.
