Blueeyedogre, That smaller tin was rather elusive. Here are a couple of quick pictures to give you some sense of the scale. The Orlik tin is a 50g size. Let me know if you want more precise measurements.

Great idea! May have to get some for the garage. Right now the baccy flap works well for travel for me, mainly because mine comes with a holder for my pipe a lighter and a tool. Just more convenient , definitely a great buy for camping though!

Those look like they would be great for carrying a days worth of tobacco safe and dry. I think I'll have to look into them some more.

Lately I've been using empty escudo tins to transport/cellar in my car. I put other blends in them, and carry three flavors. I need two hands to open them, and I'm fortunate in the regard.

I'll get a couple in black and carry them around in my mouth. I stopped more than one puck with my face back in the day. Back in the day before Jacques had enough, sucked it up and put on the mask in a game. God bless Mr. Plante.

Empty Snus containers would work (Swedish Snus, round) they can be cleaned out, label peeled off and there ya go. There's even secondary lid to keep some matches in if you'd like or some rolled up pipe cleaners.

A friend of mine from the YouTube Pipe Community who resides in Australia is making baccy flaps out of Australian hard woods. They're disc shaped and hold about a 1/2 - 3/4 ounce of tobacco. They're really cool. You can check him out here.

He's not taking commissions at the moment as he about to go on vacation and will be at the Chicago Pipe Show and then when he returns home he'll be moving, but if you're interested in one you can contact him. Maybe you guys can work something out. Below is a video showing off a few baccy flaps, tampers and a few ash trays he's made.

Great tip, blueeyedogre, just ordered a 3 pack. Reckon it's a double threat for the Big C. Then again, "THEY" tell me everything I like to eat drink and breathe does also.

Big rumor circulating back here, nobody is getting out of this world alive

I know this is late, but a week ago, I had mentioned my baccyflap had an area for lighter and tool...obviously I mis-spoke. My head was elsewhere as I was looking on eBay at a baccyflap and filling my tobacco pouch while typing. My apologies. However, I do have a question, has anyone tried to use the match striker or a baccyflap for its intended use? If so, does it work??

THEY told me bacon would kill me, I replied "Then I'll die happy!". My Dad died at 63, Grandpa at 58, my Uncle at 37, Grandma still lives in her own apartment, eats bacon, gizzards, turkey neck, and has a fondness for Crown Royal...... she's 104. When it's your time it's your time.

Hee hee! My gotubbs came in last week and I have been using two of them. GREAT recommendation, blueeyed!
They do not feel bulky in my jeans pocket and are sooooooo easy to open. I did have to make sure and keep the baccy in the bottom half. I picked up a 3 pack of mediums and like them better for running around than anything else I have ever used. I only keep about 3 or 4 bowls in them just because of how I am using them personally.

Glad you like them. I enjoy them far more then a pouch or carrying a full tin around. The other nice part I have found is they aren't air tight so the tobacco dries to just the right amount for my preferences. Definitely not moist but not bone dry either.
