Amen! I learned more on this forum in an hour than I did watching youtube for 5 hours. There's a lot of bad advice on youtube(except of course the videos made by this forum)

Like most things in life tutorials and advice from strangers will only get you so far. Especially since almost everything in pipe smoking is just trial and error/learning from experience.

It's number of post. No one cares though. Their are a lot of new members that are experienced pipe smokers that should be lifers with lots of knowledge.

I would refine this a bit. There’s people here with huge post counts who are idiots, and geniuses with 20 posts.
But it does take a couple years worth of posts to be sure either way.

There is a lot of good guys on here, and more info than you can read in a lifetime. I read more than I talk personally. I did however meet a bunch of guys from a pipe club here, which is great.

Oh I was an idiot with my pipe when I first got here! lol. Y'all lifers kept me from quiting. I know what I'm doing now at least most of the time. I went to YouTube first and learned a lot about nothing there. But I read a lot more than I post here. I watch Lifers and soak up all I can. You guys are very knowledgeable.
