This seems to be the last place on the webbernets where folks can cordially interact with one another about a common joy. Everywhere else is a political snark fest with everybody competing to hate each other the most. Breath of fresh air here. I look forward to many happy discussions!

fun fact part of that is this site just shows basically the most recently responded to posts. Other site basically show you things that their algorithms think you'll most react too based on what you've most reacted to previously. That is a great formula to piss people off. Just flood them with the things that make them angry. Starts feeling like that's the world not an aspect of the world. Or in other words you aren't going to get flooded by the ideas of Nazi-Communist-Big game butchering-vegans and also lots cute puppies all freaking day like a hammer to your psyche. Or at least that's my take on it. Also over zealous moderation helps a lot too (I have to tease the mods sometimes, otherwise they won't even notice when I break the rules).
