I just went to my 40th grad school reunion a couple of weeks ago. I enjoyed seeing old friends (at least those not otherwise occupied being dead) but the food was execrable. Clearly I should have joined you & your friends instead.

The height of sophistication as a teen was Babycham (a sparkling pear cider)
Those in the UK and the colonies will have memories of Babycham

I'm pleased you only had a very slight reaction and you are still around to tell the tale

I'm just astounded after all my experimentation with alcohol all those years ago I still willingly drink the stuff.
Mind you the quality has increased exponentially since.
My wife has still not forgiven me for some of the stuff I foisted on her back then
