Only last week whilst watching BBC News America there was a lady presenter who was relating to some story from there and she pronounced it 'wercestershire' which I thought hilarious.

It's actually pronounced 'wuster~shire' but I'm sure you know that

Rather like Howick on the Scottish borders is actually pronounced 'hoyk' and Mousehole here in Cornwall is pronounced 'mow~zal '.
