can't wait to hear how it smokes and all that awesome stuff. I really have my eye on a few Brulor even if for nothing other then the novelity of having a classic pipe.'Tother day I was browsing on SP, and came upon Brulor pipes. I had been thinking about another Ropp Etudiant, but the idea of owning a French pipe from the 1940s or before, and a brand that was sold primarily in tabacs all over the country, caught my fancy. A petite billiard got the nod.

This is about the size of a Ropp Etudiant J21 I have that is great for the "all-day smoke" flakes that I enjoy. I can easily get 30-40 minutes out of that J21.I've also had my eye on a few of those Brulors, but I keep taking out a ruler and thinking, do I really want another pipe that tiny? Would I smoke it?
I have several Ropps with horn stems. I thought about a horn stem Brulor. The ones with horn stems are appealing.
Something about horn stems that hark back to the past
Glad to hear it smokes well. How does the fit and finish compare to an Etudiant? It arrived yesterday, I loaded it with about two-thirds of a flake of Capstan Blue, torn into thin strips. It smoked beautifully all the way to the bottom. It lasted just shy of thirty minutes, without me paying much attention to it.
I have no complaints in that regard. Both fit and finish are on the button. No trouble running a cleaner through it. Condition is what one would expect of a new pipe.Glad to hear it smokes well. How does the fit and finish compare to an Etudiant?
