Recently I was in Madrid at a flea Market. Having acquired some of my father's pipes, I branched out and bought one that glowed beautifully. I brought it home and goggled the logo. Turns out it's made by an artisan, Joan Bonet or Joan Bonet Nadal.
(see bonet half way down the page) http://www.pipephil.eu/logos/en/logo-b6.html
My question is two parts.

1. Other than finding who the maker is and what an amazing craftsman he is, I can't seem to find his stems on Ebay or elsewhere. What makes his stems special is they have the island of Mallorca on them...

Can anyone help me locate a replacement stem by Joan Bonet?
2. If I can't find one of his stems, where should I go to find next best thing.
Thanks for your help!

A couple of things are unclear to me. Does your pipe currently have a stem? If so, is it an original with the logo? If you do have an original stem with the logo but need it replaced it may be possible for a repair shop to rescue the logo and put it on a new stem. Walker Briar Works and Floyd Norwood in Clifton, Tenn are among the best. I've used Norwood several times to great satisfaction. Fast turn-around time and expert work.

Hello there! I'm Spanish and currently living in Mallorca, so I might be able to be of some assistance.

First of all, congratulations!!! Joan bonet is a great Spanish artisan and his pipes sure highly coveted by many in this country, Its awesome you found one just lying about in a flew market. He is also the honorary president of my local pipe club, the oldest in Spain.

Unfortunately, he has been retired for a few years and hence no new pipes are available. And I suspect stems will be just as hard if not harder to come by. I will, however, try to find out if there are any stems lurking around and get back to you.

Kaboom,
Wow! Thank you! (The net is so amazing) I can't believe I found someone in his club!
As noted - his pipe, among many different pipes lying there, just glowed with the beauty of the fine craftsmanship! I can tell you I will always respect and care for it!
The stem is not is not that bad... and I watched a bunch of youtube videos on how to clean and polish the stem - so it's not imperative I get a new stem.
Should I send you a photo? I'm not sure how to do that on here.
