A pitcher of chilled beer and pour in a shot or two of Scotch... a Boiler Maker! I think I saw that in a movie.

Moxie definitely does not float my boat. I bought one when I was in boarding school. In Ohio you can get them at that giant grocery store in Fairfield. But I would imagine most large multi-national food stores should as well.

I love Moxie. Rhode Island boy stuck in the south. Managed to find it at Sweetbay down here for exorbitant prices comparative to other name brand pops. I buy ti occasionally... a treat for myself...
Might have to give it a try with some whiskey, but I think I'm dry.. finished off my jack.
I do have a handle of Fireball my younger brother left over here last time. Experiment time.

I'd reckon some Jameson would make it better, Jameson makes everything better..

I have not had Moxie but I did, unfortunately, have Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray Soda once. Yep, celery flavored soft drink. Pretty popular at one time in New York City. Disgusting drink by itself but now I wonder if you mix it with Wild Turkey do you get a drink that tastes like stuffing?

Cel-Ray tastes great with a corned beef on rye, I know it sounds gross but the flavor cuts through the fatty, cured meat flavor splendidly!
