Damn, Mark looks so young in your article. I guess the tobacco biz really zapps it out of ya. Having been there for the lecture by Mark and the blending demo by Russ during the New Orleans Pipe Show, I can attest that there is no other aroma like it.

Mark Ryan should be hailed as one of the heroes of pipe tobacco. Yes, it was a damn shame that he marketed some RYO tobacco as pipe tobacco, but his saving of perique is the stuff of legend.
