Shit I hope everything works out ok.
I had one time I was pissing what looked and was the consistency of maple syrup but it was because I was severely dehydrated. That doesn't sound like that's your case.

Michael, you´ve got one hell of a daughter! What is going on over there in the good ol´ US of A? Why are so many incompetent mechanics in a country that loves their cars? Well, at least our strict bureaucracy here in Germany seems to be good for some things. You can´t open a workshop if you haven´t been to school for years on end.
Get well soon!

Ok, so, my wife's best friend is a registered nurse, who was curious about my... health. She brainstorms on what could be my... issue. So, I hand her my pills, which reads, "take three pills three times a day." This is Phenozopyridine, which is a dye (I have learned from my wife's friend) that is supposed to elevate pain of the UT. My wife's friend told me that this must be a typo, as each pill is 200mg, and I was not supposed to be getting but 600mg a day, and I was taking 1800mg a day. This explains why the urine is so dark, as it is just supposed to be orangeish from the dye, but I was taking triple the amount. Ugg, so, even though we still don't know what is wrong with me, we at least now know that someone, the Dr or the pharmacist, was overdosing me on this stuff with their typo. Uggg!
Doctors, mechanics, lots of stuff is f'd up over here.

Well, to quote Joni Mitchell "Pleasure moves on to early and trouble leaves too slow". But please take time to re-read what you wrote about your daughters. There's enough Win there to last three of your lifetimes. Enough Win that your grandchildren's grandchildren will still be reaping the benefits of your love and caring. Everything else will take care of itself.

Cosmic:

Were you taking any over-the-counter medications or supplements before developing urinary retention? Many OTC's have ingredients whic may cause acute urinary retention, particularly in seasoned males. Sympathomimetics in decongestant meds (i.e. Sudafed [pseudoephedrine], Sudaphed PE [phenyephrine], et al) may cause bladder sphincter spasm. Anticholinergics in antihistamines/allergy meds (i.e. Benadryl [diphenhydramine], Dimetapp [chlorpheniramine], NyQuil [doxylamine], et al) may cause bladder flaccidity. May OTC's contain both classes of meds, hence a double whammy.
Did you get the finger wave? Acute prostatitis may cause acute urinary retention. It is often treated with antibiotics.
Hope that you feel better soon.
Great job with your daughter. My son's, in their late 20's, are finally showing an interest in learning these skills.

Both of you are adorable.
This world is mostly scam. Glad you ducked one.
Stay healthy and... I appreciate your dedication to high Nicotine. Those of us who are "working pipers" need our dose to keep everything holding together. Well, that and duct tape, maybe 7.62mm ammunition.
