Started my new job this week. Today is day 3, and things are going well. Getting my morning off to a good start with some black coffee, and a relaxing smoke in my restored Peterson 305. Some may think it's an abomination being a system pipe with a fishtail...that's ok,lol. Some day I will have to get another of this same shape, maybe even have a go at one with the p-lip. For now though, this is a great pipe and one that has a rather permanent place in my collection. DSC_0621.JPG

Congratulations! Hope it’s fulfilling and as stress free as possible.

I have both. No worries. Smoke what you like! Down the road maybe try an 05 shape in the System premier or Deluxe.

I have one Pete P-lip, a 999 Rhodesian, and it is a change of pace, but a little too much bit in the mouth for me, and the re-direction of the smoke to the roof of my mouth does nothing for me. So if you like fishtail bits, I'd stick with them. That's a handsome pipe, a good celebration as you start your new job. If the virus withers and the economy comes back full force, salaries and wages, and work and promotions could really take an upturn.

Never tried a plip so I have no real opinion on them. I would take one if the opportunity comes along. The economy coming back is something we are all looking forward to ...probably as much as not having to wear a mask all day while working.

I have a few P-lips, and honestly, I do not think about it when smoking one.

Thanks guys! The new job starts up at 7am tomorrow...so no relaxing smokes before work. I do get an hour lunch, and usually get to fit in a cob and some CH in that time. Not bad at all.
