I recently grabbed a tin to make the minimum purchase for a free shipping offer. I have really enjoyed it!

Yesterday my B&M told me they started carrying it in bulk at a great price! So my question is

Is anything different in bulk? I figure dunhill is dunhill but I just want to make sure...
Thanks gents!

The bulk should be the same. I haven't tried the bulk since it was reintroduced here in the US, but several years ago I bought a few ounces and found it just as enjoyable as the tinned version.

I just got in an order of 965 in bulk and am enjoying a pipeful in my Hardcastle billiard, (with some sweet tea on the side). I'm happy to say it tastes like the same blend I know and love!

I've had good and bad experiences buying tobacco that usually comes by the tin in bulk. Mostly good,

but I suspect the two times I was disappointed came from a jar marked as a well known that was maybe close,

but no cigar (pun intended). Both times was at a small B&M. I wont say where because it was years ago

and may be under different management now. (It was no large town/city anyway). Seldom have I lived near a

brick and mortar store, and it's no different now. I was lured by an advertizement not long ago about a new

pipe and tobacco store in Shreveport, and after driving down there it turned out to be a bong and crap shop!

All they had was glass pipes and rolling papers, although they did have a few cobs. I didn't give them any

business though.

I order all my tobacco and supplies on-line and have been satisfied....

Russ O. had some thoughts about tin vs. bulk but I don't know how to find it. It was something to the effect that tinned blends mature differently because of the sealed tins. I wish I could be more helpful but it is worth searching for.

Back in the Murray days, bulk Dunhills sold in the US were blended by Lane,IIRC. That may account for some difference back then.

A little off topic but I smoked a bit of 965 outside at lunch and the girl with an office next to mine walked in a bit ago and said, "it smells like campfire in here, like someone is making smores," =)
