Things aren't what the sheeple think they are. The facts are there if one cares to look.

It'd be hard for me to ever forget. I basically bypassed college and went straight into the Marines as I'm sure many other young men and women did. I gave 8 years of my life to the war on terror. It infuriates me beyond belief the current state of affairs in Iraq and the middle east. Even more so regarding our own government organiztions that continue to fail veterans regardless of their intentions and politicians using VA budgets tantamount to holding someone at gunpoint. God bless the VFW, IAVA and other similar organizations for what they do in the absence of our own government. But getting back to the original post I doubt I'll ever forget.

For your entertainment check out www.debunking911.com. I was in court on 9/11. An attorney came in and reported on the first plane had hit the WTC. When he returned to report on the second plane we knew it was an attack. When I returned to my office, I had the rest of the day's appointments cancelled and I sat in front of the tv the rest of the afternoon. That day and the day that Kennedy was shot are burnt into my memory.

Don't forget "This is about justice, not politics." What is? Im more confused than before. I will just smoke my pipe as suggested before. How about people died, nothing positive was gained from thier loss, that is the crappy part.

Building 7 was obviously a controlled demolition (and, btw, all 3 buildings not only fell into their own footprints, but they also fell at freefall speed).
There is of course a long laundry list of many other points, but perhaps we should just defer to the authority of the 911 Commission:

I do remember Nov.22,1963. On Sept. 11, 2001, I was at work where I had a computer with internet access and my boss called me to tell me to pull up AOL.online. There was a photo of smoke from the first plane. I began to follow the developing story and was transfixed by the tragic events.
The next morning, I was completely surprised to see that all the identities of the hijackers had been made and that some of them had paperwork/id's and such, that was discovered on the streets.
19 Saudis who prepped in Afghanistan. 2 years later, we're changing up and headed into Iraq. From the first Tomahawk missiles our response was politically motivated and politics is controlled by money. The largest corporations in the world lined up for profit.

I don't think that lamenting about the multiple conspiracies that occurred serve any justice to the victims and their families.
This +1

This back and forth over conspiracy theories is disrespectful to those, and their families, who lost their lives on that horrible day.

I was washing my car and listening to 98 Rock in Baltimore as they broke the story that was slowly unfolding.
One of my restaurants is across from the Main Gate at Ft. Detrick (Frederick, MD). As the last plane was in the air, the news was reporting that Army base was a potential target. I'll never forget that half hour or so. I was 40 miles away and felt helpless.
One of my NJ Turnpike locations (Alexander Hamilton) is directly across from NYC. I used to be able to look out their main windows and see the towers. When I look out that window now, it saddens and enrages me that that skyline was changed forever.

IMHO, it is more disrespectful to look away. These days, thanks to the media and various talking heads, the word "conspiracy" has become synonymous with "crazy". And so everyone looks away for fear of being branded as such.
The situation today was not unlike when Kennedy was killed. The official story was that it was the work of a "lone" nutjob.
And anyone who said differently was labeled a conspiracy nut. To this day most people believe in the lone gunman story (and it's still being touted by the media) even though a second Warren Commission declared that almost certainly there had to be at least one other gunman involved.

Six, you're absolutely right.
To anyone who believes the official report because people in New York "saw it happen", well, no one is saying the planes DIDN'T hit the towers. What were saying is that the people who most people think are responsible, aren't.

I wholeheartedly agree. This is a day/time to mourn and remember the loss of the thousands of innocent people who were killed on 9/11 and not theorize about politics, the news media and conspiracy issues. Possibly another time, but certainly not now.

I don't know all the facts or stories. What I do know is that thousands of Americans lost their lives. I lower my head in prayer today for these lost souls and smoke a bowl in their memory!
I will never forget!!! God Bless America!!!!!

I have a hard time with this topic. I know many peoples lives were affected (and lost), and I hold the deepest sympathies them and their families. That being said, when you look at all the tragedies around the world, why are we still talking about this? There is something like 2,500 children in Africa dying from starvation every day! So lets keep things in perspective!
Also, this post is in no means meant to detract from the sacrifice and loss of life on that day! Mourn and remember, but please try and move on!

I think it has merit to find an answer beyond reasonable doubt regarding the events and its consequenses.(For instance the Patriot Act) It isn't that meaningful to never forget a lie.(If it is one.)

I think before 9/11 most of the country had a "we are America and untouchable" outlook. A "a major terrorist attack could never happen here," kind of thinking. Of course it only makes sense then that some people would still think it couldn't have happened unless it was an inside job. Well, we have an open border with Mexico that isn't policed as it should be and people are coming across it all day every day. News flash. They're not all Mexican coming across that border. Many are from China, Korea, various countries of the middle east. If you think there's not terrorists in this country just waiting for an order to do something terrible again, your dead wrong.
Today we should remember those that lost their lives that terrible day, and the bravery of those who responded. Every day for the rest of the year we should stay vigilant and understand that if this happened once before, it can and likely will happen again. Especially if we bury our heads in the sand or believe it will never happen to us.

Is it disrespectful to ask for a new investigation? Why are we still talking about 9/11?

Wouldn't it just be easier to go with the flow? I do not enjoy swimming against the current of the preconceived story that has been shoved in our faces. Most of the victims families demand answers, and are told to shut up and move on. The effects of this attack are still in motion this very day, and likely, the rest of our lives. It is my humble opinion that ignoring the families of the 9/11 attacks is disrespectful. I honor the fallen victims and heros by never forgetting and to never stop asking questions. Take two minutes of your day to sign the petition for a new investigation.
