September 11 2001, a day that transformed our country more than world wars. The war on terror has brought us the Patriot Act, the N.D.A.A., Homeland security, T.S.A., and domestic spying on every level imaginable. This September, please take time to honor the victims and hero's who lost their lives that day and the years to follow. Thirteen years and hundreds of independent investigations later, have shed new light on the events of this tragic attack on our freedom. Please take time to learn the new facts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=yuC_4mGTs98&list=PL14FojJvMZXjYvqAW6GpMgCtChMoc0SCc

While I lost no friends/relatives on that day, it could have easily been different. Considering on that fateful day, my parents, both of my uncles(father's side) and aunts were in the White House on tour when the plane hit the Pentagon. They were all quickly evacuated to safe places.

We all know that plane was intended to hit the WH. And my mother heard it when it passed over, stating how low it seemed.

I was at work when the it all went down and did not hear from them for many hours. It was a stressful day for all.

Good video Daniel. Too bad it only scratches the surface and will not change minds unless people do a serious check of the facts presented in the video - which takes a lot of time. So most just dismiss it on the grounds that an incompetent government couldn't possibly keep something like this secret.
If anyone took the time to do their own research (it took me well over a year to be convinced), they'd know the official story is so far fetched as to boggle the mind. It took me that long because I had a hard time believing that the news media wouldn't have discovered it, that is until I realized that the news media is propaganda disguised as independent research. Sadly, we as a people have been trained from an early age to trust the authorities, trust the media, and ridicule anyone who doesn't.

Here we go...
lol - I like these threads. Keeps things interesting. :puffy:
For those who prefer REAL SCIENCE - but I'll help out. The world isn't flat, we landed on the moon and disco sucks.
Now, now - let's try to keep this civil and not quickly devolve into insults and ridicule. Remember, there's two sides to every story but the media plays only one story - which keeps things nice and simple. The way most people prefer things to be.
I happen to agree with one of the comments on that article:
Ever fascinating how people live their lives as establishment mouthpeices who accept everything they are told for fear of looking foolish in the eyes of imbeciles. No wonder this guy works for Scientific American, a collection of cowardly boy scouts turned fake journalists. What's even more rich is the tone is littered with condescension, the textbook sign of lack of confidence in his premises. You need not be a physicist or scientist to know prima facie that building 7 was a demolition and not a collapse. Anyone willing to even entertain the absurd notion that the first steel structure in architectural history to collapse from fire was building 7 of the World Trade Center is either a halfwit or a shill, or both. Look at how buildings collapse. They never uniformly collapse neatly on themselves in non-planned situations. Yet by some miracle, WTC 7, after all the day's tragedy neatly drops to the ground in orderly fashion. You have to accept that ridiculous premise to so arrogantly dismiss the people looking into 9/11. Meanwhile, the owner of the building has spent years trying to backpeddle a patently obvious admission it was demolished on purpose.

Numbersix, wasn't trying to be uncivil. Trying to inject a little humor into a very touchy subject. But, do you like disco?
hehe, okay. Disco you ask? Now you're entering into really controversial territory!

About 3 a.m. EST on 9/11/01, I woke up in physical battle, thrashing and throwing punches. This has never happened to me

before or since. Was I, for some reason, picking up the vibes of impending disaster? Do I flatter myself even thinking so?

I went to work, groggy from too little sleep, and early in the day, our intern had a call from a classmate to turn on the work room

TV, and we all watched as the second plane hit the other tower.
A scientist from Oklahoma walked through the work room and dryly said: "Now we know terrorists can fly planes."
My current wife, then working in NY, had an apartment in Greenwich Village, about two miles from Ground Zero, but luckily was

at her little house on Long Island. Later she volunteered to help distribute food to the Ground Zero workers, and did them a

resounding rendition of "It's A Grand Old Flag."
Later we visited the Ground Zero site and peered into the hole from a glassed in area at the World Finance Center across the way.

In the distance, we could see the subway arriving at sub-basement level. They never took the World Trade Center train off duty once

it resumed service. "Brave little train," said my wife.
Vigilant forever.

Btw, building 7's demise is an exercise in neuroticism. If you truly knew what it took to implode a modern building you wouldn't agree with that paragraph.
Over 2,000 architects and engineers have disagreed with that assessment.
Anyway, I'll admit, it took me well over a year to be convinced myself. I was initially just like you. Trusting the "experts" and the media. But I had the luxury of being able to spend hours every day reading every possible theory. Many theories are ridiculous and ubsurd. This is by design. It casts doubt on all theories and cast all researchers into the same category of tinfoil hat conspiracy theorists. It took me a very long time and a lot of reading to be convinced - so I don't expect to convince you or anyone else who believes the official story in a paragraph or two.

Interesting. My brother watched the 2nd plane hit from his office window in NYC. He was quick to get out of the city that morning - not a day he will soon forget.

I was working from home doing tech support for an online music jukebox company at the time of 9/11, and I was also going to school to be a firefighter. My father in-law at the time was a Captain at the local fire department, both of my Great Great Grandfathers were firefighters and one of my Great Uncle's was also a firefighter. Plus several family friends that are/were also firefighters, so these events hit me and my family pretty hard. I was glued to the TV, as I watched TV while I worked, for days on end. I think I watched the 9/11 news coverage for 10 days straight before I finally had to stop watching the horrific images that kept being played over and over again.
No matter what your beliefs may be about this tragic event in our worlds history, take a moment to reflect on your life and think about those that lost there's and those that made the ultimate sacrifice to help save strangers and for those that went into battle to continue to protect our freedoms.

I normally would be inclined to believe in conspiracies. But, what keeps dragging me back to center is that I have so many friends in New York that saw this happen. There are lots and lots of photographic evidence. I mean if this was all just something that happened in the desert with no one around, it would be different. But, there were people on the streets and people in the building that saw this and made it out and are still around. You can't fabricate thousands of stories.
It just seems that there are some people on the other side of the world that really want us to use up our resources in fighting them. They really, really want us to fight them. Which is weird unto itself. IMO

Anyone who works with steel can tell you it doesn't need to be anywhere close to liquefying temps be structurally unsound and soft enough to bend under load. Blacksmiths contort the hell out of steel and never get close to these temps to achieve a ductile state.

What drives me nuts is that we have a channel called the History Channel, which used to be educational. But, now its all Big Foot hunters, aliens built the pyramids, Hitler was an alien, moon landing conspiracies, the holocaust was a fraud, yetis live, mermaids found, Stonehenge power, Atlantis found, etc etc etc... crap crap crap. It's turning us into idiots.

I think this stuff is more detrimental to our culture than Family Guy and Southpark. IMO.

Seems like it's gone from "The Big 3, to the Big 4."
Politics, Religion, Abortion, and Sept 11th.
Make that Big 5 - don't forget Peterson Pipes.
9/11 is one of those tragic moments in history that people will always remember vividly what they were doing when they first heard the news of it. I guess the Baby Boom generation has a similar memory when JFK was assassinated. And like JFK's assassination, there are many theories about how it occurred and who was involved.

Even though this is a serious topic, I am enjoying it. Personally I need a mix of topics to keep me entertained. Besides, I love me a good debate! :puffy:
In any event, there is much more to the 9-11 story besides the towers falling on their own footprints. But if we just consider that fact alone, all three buildings collapsed on their own footprints, neatly, in a perfect downward motion. The odds of all three buildings collapsing on their own footprints - even though each of the buildings own steel columns were the strongest point of resistence and should have caused a sidewards or random collapse - are astronomical.
And the smoking gun, WTC7, had no plane hit it, and yet, for the first and only time in the history of steel structures, it too collapsed on its own footprint exactly like the twin towers - due inexplicably from random fires in the building. This last fact alone should raise at least some eyebrows. Incredibly, it doesn't. Also realize that the collapse of the towers is only a part of the entire story.
"The destruction was too symmetrical to have been eccentrically generated. The destruction was symmetrically initiated to cause the buildings to come apart as they did." —Harry Robinson III FAIA, Architect http://www.ae911truth.org

WTC 7 can't be explained by N.I.S.T. and was omitted from the 911 commision report. Asymmetric damage does not cause a symmetrical collapse. The only steel structure building in history to collapse from fire is... WTC 7. Over 500 first responders testimony was disregarded in the report. Molten steel was witnessed by multiple professionals and ignored. Satellite photos taken more than a week later showed temperatures over 1377 degrees. Molten steel was being removed and photographed more than two months after the collapse. These are facts not conspiracy. This is about justice, not politics. Regardless of anyone's personal beliefs, a new investigation must take place. They spent 65 million on Clinton's affair with Lewinski and spent 15 million on the entire investigation of 911. Never forget was the 911 motto. 13 years later, only 5% of Americans know that three skyscrapers collapsed that day. WTC 6 was directly beneath the north tower and sustained massive fire and structural damage, yet remained standing and did not collapse.
