I read most of the link above and was staggered by how long the seller's auctions have come in for such criticism, and that he is still in business probably doing the same as before. Now that's staying power!

Several years ago, my eBay account was hacked and used to purchase several thousand pairs of Nike sneakers. After I notified eBay, they froze the account but not until a week had passed. During which the sneaker bonanza continued, shockingly. What I learned is ebay defers to PayPal when it comes to handling such issues. In the case of the 11k pipe, for example, eBay won’t do jack but PayPal would likely freeze funds linked to the account if a the item isn’t what it claimed to be without contact the vendor.
@Cosmic, I think people in a community warning the community about a well known cheat is part of what being in a community is all about. Particularly when ample evidence of misdealings abound and the auction site has weak security.
